China Hill in Layton

Food was good, service was not great, but it was Christmas and they were understaffed. Glad they were open!

Fast service, tasty food, and a cute lil restaurant overall. The wontons are delicious. The staff was friendly and checked in the right amount of times, not overbearing and not absentee. Quiet and peaceful, which is rare on a Saturday night and is a big plus for people like me! The sauces were flavorful and the veggies and meats tasted fresh and good. Great experience.

Great Chinese food! I've been to a lot of the Chinese restaurants and I feel like it is one of the best. The food is always great and the prices are not bad. The inside is clean and has a cosy feel. They have take out too!

Chinese restaurants come and go. Some are good, then bad, then good. This particular restaurant has been great so far. Keep up the good work.

I really enjoy the Shrimp with Vegtables and The Egg Drop soup is Yummy. DOnt forget they have a kids menu with some of the best French Fries I have ever Eaten5 stars.

Best Chinese food I've ever had. I absolutely will not go anywhere else. I live right next door to Joy Luck in Bountiful, and will drive to China Hill in Layton for my fix of the best Walnut Chicken, and Pan Fried Veggie Noodles ever.

The pot stickers and shrimp fried rice were both awful. The orange chicken was just okay. It's overpriced for the quantity of food, definitely won't be back.

Mediocre food. Its a bit blander than what I'd call GOOD chinese food, but atleast its not BAD chinese food like most chinese restaurants in layton. It almost tasted like I wasnt tasting anything, but still pleasing. Price is reasonable. The staff have a kurt, business-like attitude many Utahns might call rude. Despite all that, I'd still go back if I was in a pinch. I only give 5 stars to great food, 4 to good food, 3 to meh food, 2 to dont go, and 1 youll get sick food. I give this restaurant a 3 when I give most chinese food in layton a 2. Take that how you will. Im gonna keep hunting.

It is a very typical Chinese food place, the rice was very good(they changed it for the better), I did get a chopped plat though. Service was good,although they treated me like a little kid though. Honestly it's nothing very special but its Good chinease food.

Great food even though I had take out.

We have either eaten in house or take out since the first opened. It was great at first, then it went down hill for a while, but their food is back up on top again. You'll find nothing better in bountiful north. Try it, you won't be sorry.

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Great flavors and serves the classics. Restaurant is a little dirty and needs standard regular cleaning. Walls and doors shouldn't turn black. Because the restaurant is very clean it gets a lower score. But the food does taste good.

This place is very good authentic fattening Chinese food that tastes great and is priced very fair. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five is because sometimes what you get with the specials is not ham fried rice, but rice that looks brown with no vegetables or meat, its common. Sometimes you would get a large portion that you're used to getting and it can be skimpy at times. The taste and efficiency of to go orders is great though. I always get the General Tso or Orange chicken specials and they are great you cant beat $7.00 for large portion of rice and about 1.5 cups of meat and an eggroll (not any special eggroll pretty much cabbage in a eggroll wrapper). But it's still a great deal. Just my opinion :)

This Layton restaurant was excellent! We loved the chicken curry and cashew chicken, both delicious! The rice was excellent as was the egg drop soup. Nice calm atmosphere, great for carrying on a conversation with a group. Excellent service as well. Definitely a favorite for us.

I love China Hill, they have amazing food. Its my go to place for Chinese food. Great flavor, love the sweet and sour chicken, good prices and friendly staff. I normally get my order 'to go' and have not had a problem with them getting it exactly right. The beef fried rice is also a good pick.

We have ordered from China Hill time, and time again. We will continue to do so!! Thanks for the yummy food ♥️

We were seated right away. The restaurant was very,very cold. They got our orders correct and in a timely matter. Food was good but didnt stay warm for long... its been better on previous visits.

Great food and commendable service. The only problem I had is that their chairs arent the best for giant fat guys like me. Their lunch specials are fantastic and I absolutely love their Sweet and Sour Pork.

I was recommended to come here by a colleague. I have passed by here many times and never came in simply because the outside is very old and deteriorated, I thought it closed down with how bad it looks outside. Maybe try replacing your signs and updating outside and more people will stop inside. I ordered online and they said it would be ready in 7 minutes. I got the chicken Teriyaki and it was actually very good! There was plenty of chicken and rice and gave extra teriyaki sauce. It came with and egg roll. There was nothing special about the egg roll, I honestly wonder if it was frozen. I would definitely try this place again! They have so many different menu items that I have never heard of, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Great service and food

The food here was really good. When I pay for over 10$ I hope I get something that fills me up. What never ceases to amaze me in any chinese place, is the quantities you are definately getting what you pay for. I usually go in around 1:30 to eat there, and there isn't many people. I have a high respect for everyone there, who treat you politely. The egg drop soup was amazing, and the sesame chicken was extremely good.

Every time I am hungry for Chinese I go to China hill . The food is delicious. When I get the cashew chicken, it has a lot of chicken and cashews. Better than other places where it is mostly celery.

They always take care of us. Great food sit down or take out...and plenty of it 😋

Wonderful service and food!

The atmosphere here isn't the best but the crab/cheese wontons and potstickers are great.

We continue to go back to China Hill for the food and the service. There were four of us and we ordered three entrees and still took food home. The atmosphere is good and the food is always good.

We’ve been going to China Hill for years and they always get it right. Sesame chicken is our favorite by far but everything is good. Great service as well.

I am vegan and have been vegan four years. I ordered 4 spring roles and General Soa's tofu and it was amazing, i will defiantly be ordering again.
